After England's lacklustre defeat to Brazil, Southgate might be reassessing these players chances of making the England squad this summer.
England took on a injury riddled Brazil side at Wembley on Saturday, who pulled off a surprise victory against Southgate's men.
This was not the ideal start to Southgate's Euro 2024 preparations as the tournament kicks off in just three months.
The head coach of the Three Lions has until June 7th to pick his final squad of 23 men and with some dissapointing performances, injuries and a strong cameo from Kobbie Mainoo, he has a lot of thinking to do.
England Euro 2024 Squad Odds
Ollie Watkins
With Harry Kane being forced to sit on the side lines in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil at Wembley, Ollie Watkins was given a chance to prove he deserves a place in the Euro 2024 squad as Kane’s backup.
Things didn’t quite go to plan for the in-form Aston Villa striker as he struggled to take his only chance of the game, that was blazed over the bar in the 18th minute. He touched the ball just 21 times and failed to make much impact against an inexperienced Brazil defence.
Despite a poor showing, his odds remain at a best price of 1/3 (an implied chance of 75%) at Bet Victor to make the England 2024 Euro squad this summer.
He has opened the door to Ivan Toney (best price 11/10 at Bet365) who is likely to audition for his spot in the squad when England face Belgium on Tuesday.

Kyle Walker
Pep Guardiola will have been watching on in horror as his first choice right-back was forced off after 19 minutes, being replaced by Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.
Southgate couldn’t provide an update on the extent of the injury, but with both Matty Cash and Kieran Trippier also injured, the England manager will be hoping it isn’t anything serious with Euro 2024 just three months away.
His price has remained at a best price of 1/8 (an implied chance of 89%) at William Hill and has even shortened from 1/10 to 1/16 at Bet365. The bookmakers are clearly not concerned by the injury.
Harry Maguire
Maguire didn’t put on the most convincing of displays at the centre-back position against Brazil. He made one glaring error when losing the ball to allow Rodrygo a clear chance at goal and made zero tackles.
Despite having the second most shots for England, his usual aerial threat wasn’t present.
He can be found at a best price of 1/4 at Bet Victor (an 80% implied chance) to make the England Euro 2024 squad.
Everton centre-back, Branthwaite, has had his odds have cut from 8/1 to 1/2 to make Southgate's summer squad since the start of the year. With the popular Toffee’s defender making some convincing performances for his club, Maguire will certainly be looking over his shoulder as the Euro’s approach.
Kobbie Mainoo
Kobbie Mainoo made his England debut when he came on for Gallagher in the 75th minute and looked at home at the centre of the park. He impressed with a nice turn, beating fellow debutant, Joao Gomes.
He was a crowd favourite in his 15-minute cameo and will hopefully get longer to show the nation what he can offer when England take on Belgium.
He can be found at a best price of 8/11 at Coral (an implied 58% chance). His best price was 4/5 before the game.
Anthony Gordon
The Newcastle winger was arguably England's best player on his debut performances for the Three Lions. He gave Danilo a hard time down the left and was by far the most direct of England's attackers.
He had two good chances that were denied by Brazil keeper, Bento, but he was unfortunate not to score.
He can be found at a best price of 13/8 at Paddy Power and Betfair (an impled chance of 62%).
