Real Madrid have become favourites to lift their 15th Champions League trophy after defeating Man City on penalties.
Last night's Champions League quarter finals threw up two surprise results as the favourite and second favourite to win the competition were both knocked out.
Man City, despite being in control of the game and dominating Madrid, were unable to make it count as they were held to a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of football.
The clash of two European giants had to be settled by penalties and thanks to Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic misses from the spot, Los Blancos progressed to the semi finals.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich put on a formidable defensive performance against Arsenal who struggled to create many clear-cut chances. A 63rd minute headed effort by Joshua Kimmich was enough to send Bayern through to the next stages of the competition.
Man City were favourites to win back to back Champions League trophy’s this season and were given as much as a 38% chance to do so before their game against Real Madrid.
Arsenal were second favourites at 6/1 before they were knocked out.
With both Premier League clubs now out of the competition, 14 times winners Real Madrid are favourites at a best price of 6/4 (40% implied chance) to make it 15.
