After the omission of senior player Marcus Rashford, could Grealish be the next to miss out on a spot in Southgate's 26-man squad?
As the Euro 2024 tournament approaches, Southgate finds himself spoiled for choice with attacking options, adding to his pre-deadline headaches.
The England manager has until June 7th to select his final squad of 26 players to take to Germany.
Southgate has already shown his ruthlessness by leaving out Marcus Rashford from the 33-man provisional squad and the odds suggest Grealish could follow suit.
Statistics have not been kind to the winger this season as he has struggled to get a run of games amid injuries and poor form.
The 28-year-old started just 10 league games for the Champions of England this season, scoring three and assisting once.
The forward also finished the season as an unused substitute in Man City's final three games.
Unfortunately for Grealish, who has featured in England's previous two major tournaments, he faces fierce competition for a spot in this year's side.
Who does Grealish have to compete with for Southgate's final spot on the plane?

Grealish Euro 2024 Odds
| Player | Best Odds | Implied Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Cole Palmer | 1/20 | 95% |
| Ollie Watkins | 1/16 | 94% |
| Eberechi Eze | 2/9 | 82% |
| Anthony Gordon | 1/4 | 80% |
| James Maddison | 4/9 | 69% |
| Jack Grealish | 1/2 | 67% |
| Ivan Toney | 4/6 | 60% |
| Jarrod Bowen | 10/11 | 52% |
Southgate took eight forwards to the last major tournament (the 2022 World Cup) and with Saka, Foden and Kane filling three spots already, in theory there is only five spots remaining.
Based on implied probabilities from the odds, Grealish ranks sixth among the contenders for the final forward positions in the England squad.
His main competition is likely to be Eze and Gordon who both play on the left wing where Grealish would likely feature.
With Foden almost a certainty to be selected, it's probable only one of this trio will join the side.
Eze and Gordon appear to be the favoured options according to the odds.
Anthony Gordon Euro 2024 Odds
Gordon finished the season strong with four assists and two goals in his final six games for Newcastle and had an impressive debut season for the Magpies, scoring 13 and assisting 10 in all competitions.
However, the 23-year-old has been suffering with an ankle injury recently which casts doubt over his potential involvement this summer.
He is a best price of 1/4 at bet victor to make the England Euro squad.
Eberechi Eze Euro 2024 Odds
Eze shone on the left for Crystal Palace after returning from injury in late February.
He scored five goals and assisted two in his final six games in the Premier League and impressed the England manager with his livliness and freedom on the ball in the friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday.
He is currently a best price of 2/9 at Sky Bet to get the call up.
