The wait is finally over, and the moment all football fans have been eagerly anticipating is here as football makes its return.

After a two-month hiatus, the Championship returns this week with 12 tantalizing fixtures on the horizon.

Last season delivered a nail-biting conclusion, with Leeds narrowly missing out on promotion despite amassing 90 points, while Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday, and Blackburn secured their safety in dramatic fashion on the final day.

This season promises to be just as exhilarating, even with the departures of Ipswich, Southampton, and Leicester to the Premier League. The return of Sheffield United, Luton, and Burnley ensures that the Championship remains as captivating as ever.

Adding to the excitement, Wayne Rooney is back in the league, this time leading Plymouth, eager to make up for his brief and underwhelming 83-day stint with Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Scott Parker has taken the helm at Burnley, with ambitions to replicate the promotions he previously achieved with Fulham in 2019/20 and Bournemouth in 2021/22.

All in all, the stage is set for another unforgettable season in the Championship.
