Mark Hughes leads the race to replace Erol Bulut in the next Cardiff manager odds market.
Cardiff City are searching for a new manager after parting ways with Erol Bulut following their worst start to a league season in 94 years.
After securing just one point from six games and scoring only one goal, the Bluebirds are rooted at the bottom of the Championship.
Despite leading Cardiff to a solid 12th-place finish last season, Bulut's second campaign quickly unraveled, prompting the club to take action.
Owner Vincent Tan, notorious for his turnover of managers, is now in search of the club's 12th permanent manager in 14 years.

Who is favourite to be the next Cardiff Manager?
Mark Hughes is the bookmakers' favourite to become the new Cardiff manager at 7/2 on BetVictor.
Welshman Mark Hughes has jumped to the top of betting as the former Wales manager looks for his first managerial role since being sacked by Bradford in October 2023.
The former Premier League manager had a 40% win rate with Bradford, managing the club for over an year and a half.
Nathan Jones (8/1), the Blaenrhondda-born coach, who is a self-confessed Cardiff fan, has twice found success at Luton Town, guiding them to promotion from League Two in his first spell with the Hatters and to the brink of Premier League promotion in his second spell when reaching the Championship play-offs.
He faced more challenging spells at Stoke City and Southampton where he couldn't quite replicate his achievements in higher divisions.
Despite his recent good start at Charlton, where his side sits in League One’s play-off positions after just six games, Jones has in the past expressed his affection for Wales and admitted that managing Cardiff would be difficult to turn down.
Other names prominent in the next Cardiff manager odds market at this early stage include Omer Riza, Alex Neil, Nigel Pearson, Frank Lampard and Steven Schumacher (up to 5/1), who was only relieved of his duties at Stoke last week.
Meanwhile, Ryan Lowe (16/1) is another mentioned as a possible candidate for Cardiff City’s managerial vacancy. Recently leaving his post at Preston, where he led the side 13th, 12th and 10th place finishes since taking the job in December 2021.
