Who has emerged as the odds on favourite with the bookmakers to become Bolton's new manager?
Following the 2-1 home defeat to Charlton on Tuesday evening, Bolton took the decision to dismiss Ian Evatt as manager after four and a half years in the position.
Evatt departs with Wanderers three points outside of the play-off places in League One, and after a run of just two wins in nine league matches.
Evatt led the club to promotion from League Two at the first time of asking back in 2021, before securing a ninth-place finish on their return to League One.
In the last two campaigns, the 43-year-old led the Trotters to the play-offs on both occasions, but could not get over the line and seal a return to the Championship, with a disappointing defeat to Oxford United in last year’s final at Wembley. Who is in line to replace him?
Who are the favourites to be the next Bolton manager?
At the time of writing, former Plymouth and Stoke City boss Steven Schumacher has been backed into odds-on favourite for the vacant role at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
