Postecoglou has been given a 50% chance of being the next manager to leave their post in the Premier League.
There were loud boos at full-time as Tottenham fell to a 2-1 home loss to Leicester on Sunday afternoon.
The feel-good factor following the 3-2 win at Hoffenheim on Thursday dissipated as Spurs fell to a 13th league defeat of the season, a return level with newly-promoted Ipswich.
Supporters now need to accept Spurs are in a relegation battle. While Ange Postecoglou has been dealt a difficult hand with a number of injuries combined with the lack of investment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – Antonin Kinsky is the only new addition this month at the time of writing – means Spurs are playing games every few days with a crop of senior players that are on their knees.
Even so, to lose at home to a Leicester side that had lost seven in a row in England’s top tier before today should be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Even if Spurs need to undergo a testing period of change, Postecoglou’s side are eight points above the dropzone after 23 games.
Spurs are fortunate that Southampton, Ipswich and Wolves all fell to defeats on Saturday but even so; to be in this position at this stage of the season is unacceptable.
It's hardly a shock, then, that Postecoglou is now the favourite at evens to be the next manager to leave his post.

Who is favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked?
Ange Postecoglou is the 1/1 favourite with Ladbrokes to be sacked next after the recent defeat to Leicester.
The Australian may need time to really translate his ideas across, and to do so with a fully available squad, but football is a results business and they just haven’t been coming for Spurs.
Indeed, they have picked up just five points across the last 11 league matches; only Saints – the one side Spurs beat in that time – have collected fewer (2).

Next Tottenham Manager Odds
| Manager | Odds | Implied Probability (%) |
|---|---|---|
| Edin Terzic | 9/2 | 18% |
| Andoni Iraola | 11/2 | 15% |
| Xabi Alonso | 8/1 | 11% |
| Didier Deschamps | 8/1 | 11% |
Edin Terzic remains the 9/2 favourite with Paddy Power to be next Spurs boss.
Whether supporters would be happy with his appointment remains to be seen, but out of work and with no compensation package to pay; he’d be the board’s dream.
Many fans already have their preference, with Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola the second favourite at 11/2 (same bookmaker).
Whether Spurs would convince the Spaniard to leave his post remains to be seen, but the Cherries are excelling despite a lengthy absentee list. Xabi Alonso, Didier Deschamps and Marco Silva are all at 8/1 to succeed Postecoglou, while current Ipswich head coach Kieran McKenna is at 9/1.
Some had hoped that Postecoglou’s appointment would usher in a new era at Spurs, but 18 months in and the wheels have truly come off.
The 10-game unbeaten streak to last season to start his reign now feels a lifetime ago and the general consensus is that Postecoglou needs to go.
