Six managers are still given a greater than 10% chance of replacing Shaun Maloney in the next Wigan manager odds market.
Wigan Athletic are still on the hunt for a new manager four days after parting company with Shaun Maloney, who leaves the club closer to the bottom three in League One than the Top 6.
After joining in January 2023, Maloney could not prevent relegation from the EFL Championship but preserved the club's League One status in 2023/24 despite a squad overhaul and an eight-point deduction.
The Latics were expected to kick on and challenge for promotion in 2024/25 but have struggled - particularly at home where they have scored just 15 goals in 17 matches.
While the club searches for a permanent replacement for Maloney, First Team Coach Glenn Whelan is in charge supported by Club Ambassador and former Manager and Assistant Manager, Graham Barrow, along with Lead PDP Coach, Frankie Bunn.

Who is favourite to be the next Wigan manager?
The recently sacked Derby manager Paul Warne (2/1 BetVictor) is the favourite to become the next Wigan manager and secure an immediate return to work.
Warne was sacked by Derby last month after a seven-match losing run, leaving the club 22nd in the table and two points from safety with 16 matches remaining.
His replacement John Eustace, who swapped playoff chasing Blackburn for the Rams, has failed to turn things around - the Rams are now seven points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Championship.

The second favourite with the bookmakers is interim boss Whelan (4/1), capped 91 times by the Republic of Ireland as a player, who is yet to hold a managerial position.
Ryan Lowe (5/1), Leam Richardson (6/1), George Boateng and Ian Evatt (both 8/1) are the others given more than a 10% chance at single figure odds.
