The future of Viktor Gyökeres could well be the biggest transfer saga of the summer.
Swedish hotshot Viktor Gyökeres is shaping up to be one of the most in-demand strikers ahead of the summer transfer window, and his next club betting market reflect growing momentum behind a Premier League move.
Viktor Gyökeres Transfer Odds
Gyokeres Next Club | Best Price | Worst Price |
---|---|---|
Arsenal | 4/5 | 7/20 |
Man United | 7/1 | 7/2 |

Atletico Madrid | 12/1 | 10/1 |
Arsenal are clear favourites to land the prolific Sporting Lisbon forward, priced as short as 7/20 but still available at a best price of 4/5 on Ladbrokes.
The Gunners have taken 66% of all bets placed on Gyökeres’ next club since the January window closed — a dominant market share for Mikel Arteta’s side who have been so desperate for a proven number nine in recent months.
Manchester United are second in the market, with best odds of 7/1 on William Hill, though some firms have them as short as 7/2. The Red Devils have attracted 22% of total bets, making them the only other club with a double-digit share.

Despite a difficult season, United remain in the mix for elite-level strikers. Particularly in this case because of Gyökeres’ relationship with the United boss Ruben Amorim, whose Sporting board paid a club record transfer fee of €20 million (plus €4 million in bonuses) for him during his time as manager in July 2023.
Sporting were expected to demand a substantial fee but recent reports suggest a release clause could significantly reduce this. Whether Arsenal or United are willing to meet the valuation remains to be seen, but the betting activity suggests one of the Premier League giants may be ready to act.
Viktor Gyökeres Goals This Season
Gyökeres has been in devastating form for Sporting Lisbon. Since joining the Portuguese side, he has scored a staggering 96 goals in 101 appearances — including an astonishing 68 goals in just 66 Primeira Liga matches.
The 26-year-old has a WhoScored rating of 8.07 for this season, netting 39 times in 33 league matches (53 in 51 across all competitions).
His recent international form is equally impressive. Gyökeres has 15 goals in 26 games for Sweden, with 10 of those coming in just seven matches played in 2024.
As summer approaches, his stock couldn’t be higher.
