Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to move on from Al Nassr this summer.
Global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has sparked media frenzy after dropping a cryptic message on social media hinting that his time at Al-Nassr is over.
The post came after he scored in Al Nassr's 3-2 defeat against Al Fateh - the last game in a trophyless season for the club who finished 3rd in the Saudi Pro League.
His post read: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."
Despite a third-place finish, the 40-year-old still ended the 2024/25 campaign as the division’s top scorer with 25 goals.
Just last week, FIFA president Gianni Infantino raised the prospect Ronaldo could leave Al-Nassr and join a team involved in the Club World Cup, which kicks off next month.
Who could actually afford Ronaldo? And what do his latest transfer odds tell us about the likeliest clubs to secure his services as he chases down the 1000-goal milestone.
Which club will Ronaldo go to next?
The favourite outcome for Cristiano Ronaldo this summer is a move to any Portuguese club, available at 5/2 on BetVictor (implied 29% chance).
A move to any MLs team comes next at a general 3/1 (25% chance) but a best price 7/2, raising the tantalising prospect of Ronaldo going against Lionel Messi on a domestic level once again - seven years after Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus.
The dream for most, though, is to see Ronaldo and Messi finally feature for the same side. That outcome is 12/1 with some bookmakers but 25/1 on bet365.
There is a greater chance for Ronaldo to make a grand return to Sporting CP (13/2), while a third stint at Manchester United is at 33/1.
