Who is favourite to become the next Wolves manager following Vitor Pereira's sacking.
Wolves have sacked Vítor Pereira following a nightmare start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, with the club rooted to the bottom of the table after 10 games without a win.
Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Fulham was their eighth league loss of the season, leaving them eight points from safety and extending their winless league run to 14 matches, their longest since 2012.
Pereira’s dismissal comes just 45 days after signing a new three-year deal, having steered Wolves to a 16th-place finish last term.
Wolves have conceded a league-high 22 goals and scored just seven.
Under-21s coach James Collins and under-18s boss Richard Walker will take interim charge, with Gary O’Neil and Middlesbrough’s Rob Edwards among the frontrunners to replace Pereira.

Could Gary ONeil Take the Wolves Role?
Gary O’Neil is among the frontrunners for a surprise return to Molineux at odds of 1/1 with William Hill, less than a year after being replaced by Pereira.
His stock remains relatively strong after guiding Wolves to safety last season and maintaining a solid reputation for organisation and man-management.
He also knows much of the current squad, which could make him an appealing short-term solution for a club desperate for stability.

Will Rob Edwards Be The Next Wolves Manager?
Rob Edwards is 8/1 with Ladbrokes to become the next Wolves manager.
A former Wolves defender and academy coach, he briefly took caretaker charge at Molineux in 2016 before moving into management full-time.
After guiding Luton Town to a remarkable promotion to the Premier League in 2023, Edwards joined Middlesbrough last summer and has since led them into Championship promotion contention.
Who are the leading candidates to become the next Wolves manager according to the odds?
Gary O’Neil (1/1) – Former Wolves head coach (2023–24) who guided them to 14th in the Premier League and an FA Cup quarter-final. Known for energetic, flexible football and familiarity with the current squad. Popular internally and a shock return is possible, though defensive frailties remain a concern. Bookmakers make him the clear favourite.
Rob Edwards (8/1) – Ex-Wolves defender and academy coach with Championship success at Luton Town. High-intensity, attacking style. Middlesbrough contract makes a move costly. Considered a strong but logistically tricky option.
Rui Borges (12/1) – Portuguese coach, Sporting Lisbon Liga Portugal champion (2024–25) with Europa Conference League experience. Tactically astute with high press and wide play, but no English experience and under contract until 2026, making a move unlikely.
Brendan Rodgers (8/1) – High-profile Northern Irish manager with Premier League and Scottish titles. Possession-based, technically strong teams; attractive in theory but unlikely to take on Wolves’ relegation battle. Free agent but would demand high wages.
Sérgio Conceição (16/1) – Experienced Portuguese manager with multiple titles at Porto and Champions League pedigree. High-intensity, attacking style; no relegation experience, making him a risky “wildcard” option. Bookmakers list him as an outsider.
