Michael Carrick is the 2/7 favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave his job, while Álvaro Arbeloa has drifted to 16/1.
No Premier League manager has been sacked yet this season, but the betting suggests that could change within days. Michael Carrick took Manchester United training this morning with his future still undecided, after a full day of talks among the club's hierarchy following Sunday's 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth.
A fortnight ago, Álvaro Arbeloa was the man under the most pressure. Two straight league wins have changed that, and the two managers have swapped places in the market.

Who Is Favourite in the Premier League Sack Race?
Carrick is the odds-on favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave his job this season, at a best price of 2/7, an implied chance of about 78%. He has also taken 53.54% of bets on Oddschecker. Bet history shows William Hill had him at 8/11 before kick-off on Sunday and now has him at 1/5.
The case against him is clear. United are eight games without a win in all competitions, and the Bournemouth defeat left them 16th on seven points, one point above the relegation zone. Carrick also left Bruno Fernandes on the bench after the captain criticised his tactics following last week's 4-1 defeat at Como.
Carrick Sack Odds: What Happens Next at Manchester United?
Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox met at Carrington on Monday, and talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazers have continued into Tuesday. No decision had been made by this morning. Eddie Howe, out of work since leaving Newcastle in the summer, and Julian Nagelsmann are reported as the leading candidates to replace him.
The fans haven't turned on Carrick, who was a popular choice when he was made permanent manager in May after taking United into the Champions League. On Sunday the Stretford End sang his name and aimed their anger at the owners instead. If he is still in charge, his next game is away to Chelsea on Saturday 31 October at 12.30pm GMT.
Arbeloa Sack Odds: Fulham Boss Eases the Pressure
Arbeloa is now 16/1 with all four bookmakers pricing the market (6%), yet he is still the second most popular bet with 10.10%. Bet history shows how quickly his position has changed. Ladbrokes and Coral had him at 3/1 on 19 October, but he has drifted out since.
Fulham were bottom with two points from six games after losing 2-1 at Ipswich on 10 October, and reports said he had two games to save his job. He won both: 1-0 against Hull, then 1-0 at Coventry on Saturday thanks to Oscar Bobb's 80th-minute winner. Fulham are now 15th on eight points.
Premier League Sack Race Odds on Pierre Sage
Crystal Palace's Pierre Sage is second favourite at a best price of 3/1 (25%), shortened from 4/1 at BetVictor on Monday. Palace lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle on Sunday, a week after a 5-0 defeat at Brighton, and are 17th on seven points.
Sage and Arbeloa meet at Craven Cottage in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday 28 October at 7.45pm GMT. Fulham then visit Aston Villa on Saturday at 8pm GMT. A defeat to Palace would test whether Arbeloa's recovery is real, but the market sees this as Carrick's race to lose, and a decision on his future could come before the weekend.
