Liverpool Next Manager Odds: Who is favourite to replace Arne Slot?

Liverpool Next Manager Odds: Who is favourite to replace Arne Slot?

Liverpool’s managerial situation has taken a dramatic turn as Arne Slot’s odds to be the next Premier League manager sacked have been slashed massively.

Arne Slot is now the favourite to be the next Premier League Manager to be sacked. This comes just a few months after the Dutchman led Liverpool FC to their record-equalling 20th title. Liverpool's dip in form has been massive, and after Mohammed Salah spoke out publicly against the club, Slot is now the favourite to be the next manager to lose his job.

Liverpool let a 3-2 lead slip against Leeds in injury time at Elland Road on the weekend. During the midweek, Liverpool also shared the spoils against Sunderland at Anfield, dropping points on consecutive weekends. The Premier League champions have already lost six matches this season, including two at Anfield.

Behind the numbers are cold, hard results. Liverpool have lost a worrying number of games recently, slid down the table, and on top of that their Champions League performances have drawn sharp criticism. They face a strong Inter team next at San Siro who are currently fourth and on-course to qualify directly to the knockout stage.

The market for their next permanent manager is wide open with Arne Slot now being 4/6 favourite to be the next manager sacked.

Who are the betting favourites for Premier League - Next Manager to be Sacked?

According to the latest odds, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has now overtaken Daniel Farke as the favourite in the Next Manager to Leave Post market. The shift comes in the wake of Mohamed Salah’s controversial public comments and Liverpool dropping points in each of their last two games, increasing pressure on the Dutchman.

Who are the betting favourites to be the next Liverpool manager?

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains the leading candidate to replace Arne Slot should the Dutchman depart. Klopp’s deep connection with the club, his proven track record, and his experience navigating turbulent periods during his first tenure at Anfield make him the natural frontrunner in the eyes of bookmakers and supporters alike.

Behind him, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola are emerging as credible contenders. Both have impressed with their tactical organisation and ability to maximise limited resources, placing them firmly in the conversation.

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso also features prominently. A beloved former Liverpool midfielder with a rapidly rising managerial profile, his long-term links to the club keep him within the frame despite his current commitments in Spain.

One of the more eye-catching names in the market is Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. While still considered a long shot, the former captain has been listed among the possible successors. His emotional ties to the club and past managerial experience make him an intriguing outsider, even if a return to Anfield remains unlikely at this stage.

What did Mohamed Salah say in his post-match interview?

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah surprised a lot of people in his post-match interview after their 3-3 draw against Leeds United. The 33-year-old has been an unused substitute in two of their last three games, and only made a substitute appearance against Sunderland at Anfield.

The Egyptian star said,

"I have done so much for this club down the years and especially last season. Now I'm sitting on the bench and I don't know why. It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame. I got a lot of promises in the summer and so far I am on the bench for three games so I can't say they keep the promise.”

"I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden, we don't have any relationship. I don't know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn't want me in the club."

Salah has consistently produced startling numbers since his move from AS Roma back in 2017. Just last season, he scored 29 goals and further provided 18 assists in the Premier League. He won the golden boot as well as the Playmaker of the Season award.

How Mohamed Salah’s Remarks Impacted Arne Slot’s Sack Probability?

Before last week, Arne Slot was the second favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked. However, Mohamed Salah's recent comments, combined with their previous two results last week have now made him the favourite to be the next manager sacked.

Slot was 3/1 to be sacked after Daniel Farke, who was 4/6 favourite. However, it's Slot and Farke have now switched places and the Dutchman's managerial post is now in jeopardy.
