Former world number one's odds of winning on return to competitive golf are shortening, following an impressive front nine in Wednesday’s practice round.
Tiger Woods will make his comeback from a 470 day lay-off when he takes to Albany Golf Club for the Hero World Challenge. On Tuesday we reported that bookmakers seemed unsure about how to price Woods on his return, but today they have been forced to shorten his odds following reports that he has hit two eagles through nine holes in the Pro-am.
Pro-am aside, two eagles on the front nine suggests Tiger might just be finding some form that we’ve not seen from the 14-time major champion in years. Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson are the current tournament favourites at best-price 6/1, with Hideki Matsuyama 8/1.
The tournament gets underway on Thursday at 16:10 GMT, with Tiger teeing off at 17:00 alongside Patrick Reed. You can watch the action live on Sky Sports 4.
