Brian Harman wins Wells Fargo Championship in dramatic fashion

The American holed a 28-foot birdie putt on 18 to snatch the title.

Dustin Johnson and Pat Perez were both tied with a clubhouse lead at Eagle Point, watching their fellow competitors finish up. When Brian Harman left his chip short on the last hole by a good 28 feet, both men would have thought they were still in a playoff. However, Harman had other ideas and the 30-year-old sank the putt of a lifetime to get the win.

The putt rounded off a great round and was a fitting ending to a great weekend of competitive golf. At one point it even looked like a four man play off may have been on the cards between Harman, Johnson, Perez and Rahm. But the eventual Champion sealed his first win since the John Deere Classic in 2014.
