Watson has proved popular amongst our punters after Genesis Open success.
Bubba Watson rolled back the years at the Genesis Open, scooping the tournament and finishing 12 under par in a masterclass display.
And it’s prompted punters to pile in on the American to win the Masters, with Bubba being touted by bettors and bookies alike.
Bookmakers have slashed their odds on Bubba beating the best golfers in the world from a 66/1 outside shot before the Genesis Open into just 22/1.
The 29-year-old has attracted 43% of all bets on the first major of 2018 following his triumph, with punters hoping he can continue his fine fettle of form.
Having pipped contenders Tony Finau and Kevin Na by two strokes, Bubba finished comfortably in front as the Open came to a conclusion last night (February 18).
Having won the Masters on two previous occasions, the American may have to rethink comments over retirement made in the run up to the Genesis Open.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “Bubba Watson is an Augusta specialist, and a return to form immediately makes him a live contender for that famous green jacket.
“He has shortened already to 22s, but that price may not hang around if he can follow up that success in upcoming events.”
