13 years after his last Masters success, Woods is being backed to add another to his collection.
After enjoying his best tournament of the year at the Honda Classic Open last week, Tiger Woods has been backed in from 35/1 to as short as 12/1 with Bet Victor to prevail in the 2018 Masters.
However, not all bookmakers believe he is quite capable, as he is still best priced at 22-1 with Winner and 20-1 with Skybet and Ladbrokes.
Yet over 8% of all bets for the Masters Tournament Winner have come for Tiger Woods in the last 48 hours, with Oddschecker punters believing the golfing legend has what it takes to add to his four Masters and win his first since 2005.
Woods admitted he was very pleased with his overall performance and the Masters was always the main goal in 2018.
“I feel like each time out I’ve got better and I’ve got more of a feel for playing tournament golf again. I need to keep playing tournament golf, but I need to keep building on it, keeping building my body, keep building towards April. That was the goal when I first came back.”
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Wood's performance at the Honda classic may not look too impressive on first glance, but 42-year old performed well on one of the PGA Tour's toughest tracks and found no luck on the greens. He is playing the best golf in years, and looks set for a big run at Augusta.”
