A masterstroke display sees McIlroy clear favourite after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Since Rory McIlroy collected his Arnold Palmer Invitational trophy last night, there has been a surge of bets for the Northern Irishman to win the US Masters and he has cemented himself as the favourite.
Almost 31% of all bets were placed on him since last night and he is currently best priced at 9/1 in which to do so.
Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods have also seen some support for their recent efforts and are both best priced at 10/1 to win the US Masters.
This was his first event win since 2016, but his performance was nothing short of sublime, as he scored five birdies in the last six holes to finish 18 under par.
McIlroy has slipped out of the World Top 10 but Oddschecker punters were so impressed with his win, they believe he is capable of following up in the Masters.
McIlroy commented on his performance afterwards: “It was awesome to feel the buzz of being around the lead on the back nine.
To play the golf I did under that pressure I’m so proud of myself and so happy to get the win. I think I gave myself a chance for birdie on almost every hole. I played a perfect round of golf.”
