Tiger Woods' resurgence has punters believing a green jacket is on the horizon.
We will have to wait another 8 months until the next golf major, but that hasn’t stopped punters piling into Tiger Woods winning it.
In the last 24 hours, Woods has received a massive 85.2% of all bets on the US Masters market. This has seen the 20/1 previously available evaporate and he’s now generally 12/1 across the board with the bookmakers.
Woods played some of the best golf of his career in his final round at Bellerive, shooting -6 but the infallible Brooks Koepka saw him off to win his second major of the year.
This performance followed a near miss at The Open Championship, where he was leading at one point in the final round and favourite with the bookies, only to fall away as Molinari pounced.
Tiger is still the man that the crowds want to see and his return to form this year has punters and spectators alike believing a first major since 2008 is just around the corner.
Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek: ’Seeing Tiger Woods in his trademark red shirt in contention on the Sunday majors has been a treat for all golf fans. The next step is to win one, and it would be spectacular to see him do so at Augusta. The prices on offer suggest we could see Tiger don the famous Green Jacket again’
