oddschecker take a closer look at the value in tipping Tony Finau to take home the title at the Tournament of Champions.
A best price of 30/1 for Tony Finau looked a "shade on the big side", said golf expert Niall Lyons as part of his weekly build up piece for Oddschecker.
Three days on, the two-time PGA Tour winner has shortened slightly to a best price of 28/1, but still sits comfortably outside the top-10 shortest price favourites for the event.
Last time we saw Finau in action he was flying at the halfway stage of the World Challenge only to fire 70-71 over the final two days to finish five back in 7th.
Lyons expects distance to play a fair part at the Kapalua Plantation Course, where the longer players such as Finau can really open their shoulders off the tee.
Finau will, however, need a "hot putter" if he is to join the tournament's high-profile collection of recent winners.
