PGA Power Rankings: Top 5 Golfers for the 2023 Fortinet Championship

PGA handicapper Johnny Covers is here with his latest power rankings ahead of Round 1 on Thursday from Northern California at Silverado Resort and Spa’s North Course.

PGA Power Rankings: Top 5 Golfers For 2023 Fortinet Championship

After two weeks with no events, the PGA Tour returns this week in Northern California for the Fortinet Championship at Silverado Resort and Spa’s North Course.

California’s own Max Homa headlines the field this week, as many of the world’s best choose to skip this event with the Ryder Cup and other more lucrative tournaments coming up around the corner.

With a rather shallow field, things are wide open as we take a look at this week’s course and the five players I think are best positioned to tear it up.

Fortinet Championship Course Guide

Coming in at 7,123 yards, the North Course is a par 72 and a course that the world’s best typically have no problem scoring on. With Poa annua/Bentgrass greens featured throughout, we’ll be keying in on guys that play well on that surface.
