Today's biggest mover is in Wetherby's 13.55 where HINT OF GREY has been well supported at big prices for trainer Don Cantillon. A winner of a couple of low level races on the flat, he was last seen finishing 7th of 11 when sent of favourite for a Redcar handicap over 1m6f. The market suggests more is expected from the 3yo now trying hurdles for the first time. 16/1 on first show last night, he's now as short as 6/1 in places (best price 13/2).
Next it's to Hereford and their 13.40 where strong support has come for THE HAPPY CHAPPY. The 5yo cost connections 130,000 euros at the sales two years ago after winning both starts between the flags and the market signals are he will be ready for this on his first run for the in-form champion trainer Paul Nicholls. 15/8 early this morning, he's now as short as 5/4 with one bookmaker (best price 6/4).
Also a mover in the market today is one of Andy Holding's selections KINGS HEART. Described by Andy as 'a law into himself when it comes to breaking from the lids' it seems his followers have not been deterred by the fact Andy also said 'he’s hard to recommend with any degree of confidence knowing that your docket could go up in smoke after a few strides...' Bookies are taking no chances and have cut the 7/1 on offer last night into as short as 7/2 (best price 9/2).
Finally at Kempton this evening, MOWHOOB is a well backed favourite in the 19.55. Successful twice at 7f the 6yo's last win was over two years ago. As big as 10/1 on Tuesday evening, some firms are now as short as 11/4 (best price 9/2).
