Money coming in for Un De Sceaux in the Tingle Creek

Oddschecker punters are piling into Un De Sceaux to win the Tingle Creek following the withdrawal of Douvan.

Ruby Walsh is set to take the ride of Un De Sceaux in a bid to win his fourth Tingle Creek on Saturday after Willie Mullins opted to run the 8yo instead of his imperious stablemate Douvan. Since that decision on Thursday morning, bookmakers have seen the 2015 Arkle winner backed into favouritism and Oddschecker punters have been piling into the new favourtie, with over 43% of Tingle Creek bets being placed on Un De Sceaux.

Another horse that has attracted support is Gods Own . The Tom George-trained gelding, who was a disappointing joint-favourite when seventh in the 2014 renewal of this contest, is now as short as 10/3 in places having been a 5/1 chance earlier today. Even though Gods Own only holds 18% of the bets from Oddschecker users, the gelding is the second-most backed horse in the race in terms of weight of money, with 35% of stakes.

Ar Mad is 10/3 best price and just holds on to second favouritism, but Oddschecker punters aren’t too bullish about Gary Moore’s contender, with only 14% of stakes being placed on the gelding. The public aren’t backing an upset, as the two outsiders, Sir Valentino and Vibrato Valtat, only holding 5% bets and 1% of stakes.
