Might Bite wins the RSA Chase in thrilling fashion in a photo finish with Whisper.
Following the enthralling start to today's racing at Cheltenham, with Willoughby Court beating Neon Wolf by a nose, the RSA Chase was even closer and more thrilling.
Might Bite, the pre-race 7/2 favoruite, led the race from the start and had opened up a 12 length lead with two fences to jump, with Whisper leading the chasing pack. The Nicky Henderson trained 8 year-old idled in front after the last, veering off to the right though, letting Whisper in for what looked like an unlikely win.
Jockey Nico de Boinville managed to find something in the final furlong and Might Bite pipped Whisper to the post by the smallest of margins in the second photo finish of the day.
Both horses are trained by Henderson and bagged the trainer a 1-2.
Simon Phillip, representing the Knot Again Partnership, owenrs of Might Bite had this to say on the dramatic win:
"I don't think I can even watch that again when I get home on the telly.
"I'm bowled over by that. I turned away and someone said 'he's getting up, he's getting up'.
"I thought it was all over. Easy street. But we know it can all go wrong.
"Nothing can get near this, it's a dream come true!"
