Supasundae wins the Coral Cup ahead of Taquin du Seuil

Jessica Harrinton owned Supasundae wins the Coral Cup storming ahead of Taquin du Seuil.

Supasundae, a 16/1 shot pre-race, was able to storm away from a tight pack when going up the hill into the final straight to win the Coral Cup ahead of Taquin du Seuil, who overtook Who Dares Wins but could not catch the seven year-old gelding.

Supasundae kept up with the leaders throughout the race and found something approaching the final flight. A good jump over that particular fence sealed the win, creating a two length lead at the finishing post.

Both Who Dares Wins and Monksland, 40/1 and 66/1 respectively, ran big races but the pre-race 4/1 favourite, Tombstone was help up near the rear for the majority and never laid a challenge.

Jockey Robbie Power had this to say of his charge:

"He's galloped all the way to the line. He was a very, very good bumper horse and beat Yanworth in the (Aintree) Bumper.

"it's first time he's got good ground all season..galloped all the way to line.. perfect position all the way".
