In Epsom's finale there has been strong support for Andrew Balding's NATIVE PROSPECT. A winner of one of his seven starts to date, the 3yo was last seen doing too much too early at Doncaster and not seeing out the the 1m2f trip. If able to sette better today, the step back in trip should suit and punters certainly appear to fancy his chances. 12/1 when the markets opened last night, the son of Bated Breath is now in to 11/2 with some firms (best price 6/1).
Over at Lingfield Richard Spencer's unraced GUSTAVO FRING has been backed at big prices in the 17.20 maiden. A 35,000gns yearling, he is a half-brother to two-time winner Desert Ranger. The trainer has yet to have a first-time out winner but that hasn't stopped the money coming for the 3yo. As big as 20/1, he's now just 13/2 in places (best price 8/1).
Up at Perth, the 15.35 handicap chase has a popular favourite in the shape of A GOOD SKIN. The 8yo's trainer Tom George has a solid 10-50 record at the course in recent years and has won this particular race three times in the last six years. His entrant today has been dropped another 3lb in the handicap since his latest effort at Cheltenham and is looking well treated. Punters snapped up the 4/1 on offer last night with one firm now going as short as 9/4 (best price 11/4)
In Exeter's 19.40 money has come for TEETON POWER. The 6yo has been consistent this winter and found himself in the winner's enclosure last time out at Fakenham. Today's race looks a tricky one to evulate but the positive market vibes suggest a big run is expected. 11/2 on first showing last night, he's now as short as 11/4 in places (best price 7/2).
