Nicky Henderson claimed his fourth Champion Trainer title following Altior's win at Sandown.
Altior eased to victory in the Celebration Chase at Sandown to hand trainer Nicky Henderson his fourth Champion Trainer triumph. Call me Lord had earlier won the opener at Sandown to increase Henderson’s lead over Paul Nicholls on jumps finale day.
Speaking to ITV Racing following Altior's success, Henderson admitted it was a great way to win the Championship. He said: "What a great horse to do it with, it's very special.
"He (Altior) is top class, we have always known that. We said goodbye to Sprinter Sacre from the race course today and Altior has done two seasons unbeaten now and I've always said they are very big shoes to fill but he is stepping up and I think this boy's feet are getting a bit bigger now," added Henderon.

It was a second successive win in a row for trainer and jockey Nico de Boinville, who had the simplest of rides, following the victory of the now retired Sprinter Sacre last year. It is the fourth time Henderson has achieved the feat as Champion Trainer after winning in 1986, 1987 and 2013.
