Aidan O'Brien horses top the markets following Guineas double.
The recent dominance of Aidan O'Brien continued over the weekend with the master trainer securing his third Guineas double as Churchill and Winter landed the first two Classics of the season. The trainer took his tally to ten Guineas winners (six 2000 and four 1000 respectively) and will look to add to his five Derby and six Oaks winners next month where he currently has the market leaders for both.
Saturday's winner Churchill is best-price 5/1 favourite to complete the Guineas/Derby double for the O'Brien stable who managed the feat in 2012 with Camelot. Whilst Sunday's unlucky beaten favourite Rhododendron is the 5/2 jolly to give the Irish Champion Trainer his third successive victory in the Oaks after staying on strongly after a luckless run in behind other horses.

Since Sunday's second placed-finish, Rhododendron has accounted for 33% of all bets placed on the race through Oddschecker and 68% of total stakes. John Gosden's Pretty Polly third, Astronomy's Choice (33/1) has been the next most popular (28% of bets) with her conqueror on Saturday Horseplay next with just 12%.
In the Derby market, Guineas winner Churchill has his supporters but it's Aidan's son Joseph who is responsible for the most popular horse with Oddschecker punters. Rekindling hasn't been seen since landing a Derby Trial at Leopardstown last month but the form of that race received a boost on Sunday when the horse he beat that day, Douglas Macarthur, won the Derrinstown for O'Brien senior. 40% of all bets on the market since Saturday's 2000 Guineas have been for Joseph's Rekindling, who is now a general 20/1 shot with bookmakers.
