Shutter Speed is the odds-on favourite but all the support has been for the Jim Bolger filly.
Wednesday's Musidora Stakes sees John Gosden's Shutter Speed put her Oaks credentials to the test as she takes on four rivals at York. The 7/1 ante-post third-favourite was last seen landing a conditions race at Newbury, the form of which received a boost at Chester's May Festival last week with the third that day Enable taking the Listed Cheshire Oaks.
Shutter Speed's jockey, Frankie Dettori said after her Newbury success: "She's a lovely filly, she did really well over the winter and filled her big frame. You saw today over the 1m2f we fitted in really well and I guess maybe an Oaks trial (up next) somewhere down the line".
However, despite being a clear favourite in the betting, she hasn't proven popular with Oddschecker punters. Instead, the filly everyone wants to be on is the Jim Bolger 3yo Vociferous Marina. 90% of all bets on the ante-post market have been on the Navan Listed winner, accounting for 83% of all stakes.
Also popular with punters on day one of the festival is Kevin Ryan's recent Abernant Stakes winner Brando. 10/3 market leader for the Duke Of York Stakes, the 5yo accounts for 68% of all money staked on the race to date.
