A quick look at this morning's best backed horses across the UK and Ireland
The biggest of today's market movers is at Sandown in the 16.45 where bottom weight SO CELEBRE has been well supported in the 1m1f handicap. Ian Williams’ 4yo has won on the flat as well as over obstacles but comes into today’s race off the back of two disappointing efforts in which he has beaten just one of 17 rivals. He was sent off at 6/1 on his last outing and a run of sorts is obviously expected today with punters snapping up the 12/1 on show first thing this morning and forcing bookies to cut him into as short as 11/2 in places.
Andy Holding followers have caused another market mover in Salisbury’s 16.25 with DEYAARNA now just 7/4 with some firms having been 10/3 this morning. Andy has said in his daily tipping column that the Godolphin 2yo ‘is strongly fancied to find the necessary step forward in order to score at the second time of asking.’
Over at Listowel there have been a number of horses well supported in the 15.50 1m4f handicap with the biggest mover being Thomas Mullins’ veteran 9yo GRAND PARTNER. A winner of one of his four stars on the flat, the four-time hurdle winner has won over 2m4f in the past so should stay well in today’s testing conditions. Punters are certainly keen and have backed him in from 16/1 last night to as short as 9/1 in places.
