Thursday's Racing Market Movers

Thursday's Racing Market Movers

We look at which horses have been popular in the betting so far today

The first of two movers at Yarmouth today is William Haggas' BEAUTY FILLY in the 14.30 Novice Stakes. The unraced two-year-old cost 280,000 guineas and is a half-sister to four winners. As big as 3/1 this morning with one bookmaker, she's now as short as 11/8 (best price 7/4).

In Yarmouth's 15.00, ROYAL HOUSEHOLD is the one punters want to be on for Richard Hannon and Hollie Doyle. The two-year-old was a nice winner of a 6f race at Goodwood in May but has disappointed somewhat in his three runs since including when a beaten favourite back at that track in May. Improvement is obviously expected today however with the 7/1 on offer last night quickly snapped up and punters have now backed him into 9/4 with one firm (best price 3/1).

At Chelmsford this evening ARCADIAN SEA has been a popular choice with punters in the 20.40. The three-year-old is still a maiden after eight runs but had put together a string of consitent efforts before failing to fire on the fibresand last time out. Back on a more favourable surface today, the 10/1 on offer this morning is now gone with some firms just 3/1 (best price 9/2).

Finally, in the opener at Pontefract, MILTIA looks to be the one to be on. Ricahrd Fahey's colt was a promising third on debut at York, leading for much of the way over an extended 5f. Today's slightly shorter trip and his previous racecourse experience should stand him in good stead as Ponte punters look to get off to a winning start backing him in from 7/2 to 2/1 favourite (best price 9/4).
