Thursday's Horse Racing Market Movers

Thursday's Horse Racing Market Movers

A round-up of the best-backed horses across the markets this morning

The first of today’s movers comes in the 15.10 at Newmarket where SUMMER CHORUS is a well-backed favourite for Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy. The four-year-old is a previous course winner and was runner-up to a Godolphin runner who has gone on to score again since in a higher grade. Originally priced up at 10/3 by bookmakers last night, he’s now favourite across the board and as short as 2/1 with some firms (best price 9/4).

In the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes at Newmarket the regally bred UAE KING is another to be strongly backed into favouritism. The three-year-old progressed through the handicap route earlier in the season scoring a hat-trick of wins before coming up short in a Listed 1m6f race at Goodwood last time out. Today’s step up back to 2m should be to his advantage and punters have snapped up the 9/2 on offer last night with some firms now only 9/4 (best price 5/2).

Finally at Pontefract this afternoon UNWRITTEN is the one punters want to be on in the 17.15 Novice Auction Stakes. An 8l fourth of eight on his debut at Hamilton last month, the two-year-old was originally priced up at the 7/1 mark of the back of that effort. However, more is clearly expected this time round and the bookies now have him as the 11/4 favourite.
