Enable confirmed for the Breeders' Cup: Odds tumble for further success

The double Arc winner will be going to the States to take on all-comers.

Many thought that Enable might slow down after winning back-to-back Arcs, but the superstar Filly will be heading to the United States to take part in the Breeders' Cup Turf, connections revealed today.

Juddmonte racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said this morning that Enable ‘has been given the go ahead’ by Prince Khalid. This puts her squarely in line to impress at Churchill Downs, and the four-year-old is an odds-on favourite across the board in the Breeders’ Cup Turf.

4/7 in most places, one bookie has Enable at a best price of 8/11, in from 4/5 at the start of the day.

It’s no surprise that 88% of bets today in the winners market have gone on Enable, with second favourite Roaring Lion (6/1) the only other horse receiving any kind of attention.

Whether or not Prince Khalid’s heroine goes to Paris next year to try and claim an unprecedented third Arc remains to be seen, with Grimthorpe adding that ‘any decision on her future will be made after the race’.

One thing is for sure though: It will take a huge performance from any other horse to topple Enable at Kentucky in November.

Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “Racing fans were delighted this morning, as Enable’s connection confirmed that the superstar Filly will be heading to Churchill Downs and this year’s Breeders' Cup. She is 8/11 best price and odds-on everywhere for the Breeders' Cup Turf, with waves of further support surely incoming as we inch towards the start of November and the showpiece event.”
