The five most backed horses at Cheltenham today

We reveal the horses most supported in the Cheltenham markets on Oddschecker.

1. KALONDRA heads the market for the BetVictor Gold Cup, now as short as 9/2 after opening up at 7/1 yesterday. The seven-year-old has made a strong start to life over fences, winning two of six races, one of these being at Cheltenham. Finished a strong third last time at the track.

2. Another well backed favourite, ROYAL ILLUSION is receving the next most support through Oddschecker. The Willie Mullin trained mare is unbeaten and won by over 19 lengths combined in her two races to date. Available at best price 9/4.

3. Naturally the BetVictor Gold Cup market has been popular and so it’s no surprise to see two of the top three from the race, as MR WHITAKER completes sneaks into the podium. Also tipped up by our tipster Andy Holding, Mick Channon’s gelding holds obvious claims, winning over C&D at the festival earlier this year.

4. Odds-on shot THE WORLDS END is well fancied in the second race at 13:15. The seven-year-old’s Cheltenham form isn’t all that impressive going 0-3 at the track, but wasn’t disgraced in the most recent 7th in the Stayers’ Hurdle. He won on Chase debut at the end of October and there is plenty of room still to improve over fences.

5. The fact Tom Scudamore takes the ride of FIRST ASSIGNMENT over the talented Dell Arca says a lot, with Ian Williams’ charge currently 3/1 favourite. The five year old dug deep to win by a short head at the course in October, and should find the extra furlongs today more suitable.
