We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.
First up in the 12:45 at Newbury, AL SHAHIR represents one of the gambles of the day, going from 7/1 into a best price of 10/3, with some bookies going as short as 11/4. A former winner over the 2m distance, his previous run at Carlisle was his chase debut and could well have tuned him up nicely for this one.
Next in the 13:55 at Limerick, COMMANDANT is now just 7/4 best price after opening up at 10/3, and that makes the five-year-old the comfortable market favourite. Trained by Joseph O'Brien, A winner in a hurdle race at Thurles last month, more of the same will be expected from him this afternoon.
Finally in the 19:30 at Limerick tonight, DE LATOUR is as short as 3s after being available at 8/1 earlier. A best price of 7/2 is available for the favourite, who was unplaced in her two previous starts and was eighth at Naas last month.
