We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.
First up, in the 12:10 at Southwell is APACHEE PRINCE. Priced at 7/2 when markets opened, he's now as short as 2/1 in places, with a best price of 5/2. Yet to score over fences but a smart hurdler, Richard Johnson takes the reins today in the hope he can find some chasing form.
Next at Carlisle, DIVINE PORT goes in the 12:50. Starting out at 13/2, he's now 5/2 with some bookies, at a best price of 3/1. On stable debut for Pauline Robson and going chasing for the first time after a 244-day break, this is a horse that relishes the heavy ground and could go well today despite a tough market leader in Xpo Universel.
Finally, in the 14:05 at Navan, we have MONOTYPE. Originally priced way out at 9/1, the odds have shortened to a best price of 5/1. Unplaced in three novice chases but rated 132 over hurdles, Paul Nolan's charge could benefit from a run in a weaker field this afternoon.
