We reveal the horses most supported in the Cheltenham markets on Oddschecker.
1. ADJALI is the 7/4 favourite for the opening race at Cheltenham today. Nicky Henderson's four-year-old finished a very narrow second in a Grade 1 at Chepstow last time out and has obvious claims despite giving weight to his rivals. The Seven Barrows yard has four wins in the last six renewals. Expect this runner's 14/1 for the Triumph Hurdle to tumble should he win today.
2. Tipped up this morning by our expert Andy Holding and ITV tips, BLACK OP has been receiving plenty of support all week. Stepping up to 3m today Tom George's gelding should be very well suited to this challenge, with the recovered Noel Fehily taking the ride. You can back him at a best price of 5/1 today and 12/1 for the Stayers' Hurdle.
3. BIRCHDALE is the next most backed horse at Trials Day. The five-year-old won impressively at Warwick last month and there's plenty of excitement around this runner, who stands as a 15/8 favourite today. Nicky Henderson sends him out ahead of Champ in what should be a good indicator for his Ballymore Novices' Hurdle credentials (best price 20/1).
4. Another fancy for our tipster Andy Holding today, ELEGANT ESCAPE has got the backing of punters this morning at 11/4. Colin Tizzard's seven-year-old will have to overcome the always threatening Frodon this afternoon, but the Welsh National winner should have plenty to offer. Third in the RSA Chase on the other course last year, he's currently a 33/1 shot for this year's Gold Cup.
5. The 15:35 is set to be a cracker today, with punters fairly split. Black Op edges it so far, but PAISLEY PARK is joint favourite at 9/2. A winner at Ascot last month when stepping up into a Grade 1, Emma Lavelle's gelding is in fantastic form over this trip and should be right in the thick of it this afternoon. The 12/1 for the Stayers' Hurdle won't last if he manages to see off this field.
