Punters have snapped up some big prices on this runner.
Crosshue Boy (20/1) has been the most backed horse in the Scottish Grand National market in the last 24 hours, with 26% of bets going his way.
Originally priced as far out as 33/1 when markets opened last month, the nine-year-old is now as short as 16/1 to win next Saturday’s race at Ayr.
Sean Doyle’s gelding finished a respectable third at Wexford on Friday and has clearly caught the eye of punters ever since.
Finishing 10th in the Becher Handicap Chase at Aintree in December behind a host of entrants to this year’s Grand National, the nine-year-old has looked in decent shape in his two starts so far this season.
He faces stiff opposition from the likes of Dingo Dollar (10/1), whom he beat as a 22/1 outsider this time last year at the same course.
Current favourite Dingo Dollar is next in the punters’ list, with 20% of bets on the market in the last 24 hours.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Crosshue Boy has shown he can win over these fences after springing a surprise to beat Dingo Dollar at Ayr last year. The latter hasn’t set the world alight since, despite plenty of expectation, so it’s no surprise punters are trying their luck on this runner at a tempting price.”
