The trio of horses seeing the most support on Oddschecker for day one.
Klassical Dream – 16:20 Punchestown – 8/13
Four of six entries in this race come from Willie Mullins’ yard and the star of the show is likely to be KLASSICAL DREAM. The runaway winner of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham will have Ruby Walsh aboard and is expected to make it a fourth win in five renewals of this race for Mullins.
Min – 17:30 Punchestown – 8/13
MIN has the unfortunate task of racing in the same realm as Altior. Willie Mullins’ eight-year-old didn’t come close to challenging the record-breaker in this year’s Champion Chase, but his recent win at Aintree suggests he should be difficult to beat. He goes up against stablemate Un De Sceaux again, who beat him in this race last year, but punters expect him to get revenge.
Delta Work – 18:40 Punchestown – 7/4
Gordon Elliott’s DELTA WORK ran well to finish third in a box office RSA Chase at Cheltenham behind Topofthegame and Santini. Davy Russell will be in the saddle as usual and plenty fancy the six-year-old to bounce back. He goes up against a tough field, however, the likes of Close Brothers winner A Plus Tard and Andy Holding’s fancy Getabird should mount a considerable challenge.
