The most backed horses on Royal Ascot Day Three

We reveal the most backed horses through Oddschecker on the third day of Royal Ascot.

Sunday Sovereign – 7/4 – Ascot 14:30

With two emphatic wins from his last two starts at The Curragh and Tipperary, punters have been piling into Sunday Sovereign for Thursday’s opener at Ascot. This is a bigger ask for Paddy Twomey’s two-year-old, but the 7/4 favourite looks set to come up trumps once again.

Stradivarius – 6/4 – Ascot 16:20

Frankie Dettori has been the talk of the town this year at Ascot, and he’s been well-backed to guide Stradivarius to another Gold Cup triumph. Wins in his last six starts shows just how fiendishly difficult the five-year-old is to beat.

Fleeting – 6/4 – Ascot 15:40

A barnstorming third-place finish at Epsom in The Oaks certainly caught the eye of many, and Fleeting is now being backed for glory for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore in the Ribblesdale Stakes. She’s shown that this is her favoured trip, and must be considered the heavy favourite on current form.

Dee Ex Bee – 11/2 – Ascot 16:20

Silvestre De Sousa and Mark Johnson will be hoping to spoil Stradivarius’ Gold Cup charge – coming in the shape of Dee Ex Bee. With four wins from 7f to 2m on ground varying from good to firm to heavy, it’s little surprise punters have identified him as a major contender in the field.

Sangarius 6/1 – Ascot 15:05

With a promising third-place finish in last month’s return at Sandown, Sangarius—piloted my Frankie Dettori—isn’t to be underestimated. Successful twice at 7f, Sir Michael Stoute’s three-year-old looks to be a stayer and could be a major player in this field.
