We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.
Firstly, ZUCKERBERG in the 14:00 at Catterick, who was 7/2 earlier is now a best price of 9/4 and as short as 15/8 in the betting. He is stepped up to 7f here for the first time, which should suit. His half-brother, the handy Glorious Artist has been seen at best effect between 7f and 1m1f. He has run into some good types so far in his short career and today’s test may be easier than his last two. The low draw should give him an advantage and P J Macdonald who is operating at a 20% strike rate over the last 14 days will know exactly how to get the best out of this two-year-old.
Secondly, HARVEST BOW, in the 17:40 Roscommon has been well found in the market. He is now a best price of 11/4 and as short as 9/4 having been 9/2 earlier in the betting. He won at Gowran Park last year over 7f but has gradually stepped up in trip and finds himself running at 1m 7f today. Performances have been solid enough this year, but with rain today, the ground should play to Harvest Bow’s strengths with some cut in the ground bringing out the best in him. His only win has come on soft/heavy ground. The ground may have a part to play in this market support and is worth checking before the off today.
Lastly, is PRESENTINGPRINCESS in the 19:10 at Roscommon, she opened up at 7/1 and is now a best price of 4/1 and short as 3/1. She is an experienced campaigner and put a bad run here 2 races ago behind her with a solid fourth out of eleven last time out. The 2m 5f seems to be around her best trip and some further improvement here from the eight-year-old could see her getting her head in front for the first time in a while.
