We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.
Firstly, we have ANGEL GREY in the 14:30 at Windsor. Earlier in the day she was a 5/2 shot but has been well found in the betting. She is now a best price of 9/4 and as short as 7/4 in places. She is only running the third race of her short career today and the booking of Oisin Murhpy is an eye catcher. She shaped nicely on her debut and next time out faded after going too fast at the start. She will have come on a lot for that experience and should not make the same mistake again. Some cut in the ground could also help her case today. Andrew Balding must see something in this two-year-old and punters certainly do with plenty of money still coming in for Angel Grey.
The second market mover of the day, is DIZZY G who runs in the 15:05 at Windsor. As big as 8/1 in the betting earlier, she has halved in price and is now a best price of 7/2 and as short as 3/1. This four-year-old is back down to her preferred 6f today after struggling to stay the 7f last time out. She flew up the weights last season winning three times in a row and whist has struggled slightly this season, this Karl Burke trained horse is at a workable mark. She has won her only start at this course and distance today and that may explain the money pouring in for her today.
Finally, we have EYE OF THE WATER in the 16:50 at Leicester who opened at 14/1 and is now a general 7/1 shot. This three-year-old has had a decent campaign so far this season and made his overall mark of 60 look silly when winning by seven lengths three starts ago. That win at Salisbury was on soft ground, and he gets some cut again today which will play to his strengths. His only other win on turf came on good to soft conditions, so with conditions today the same, punters have been getting stuck into David Probert’s ride thinking he can get his nose in front this afternoon.
