We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.
Firstly, TRIBAL CRAFT, running in the 16:55 at Salisbury, has moved from 10/1 into a best price of 5/1 and as short as 9/2. This exciting three-year-old has had a very good debut season, winning two novice races. The first of those two wins was at Salisbury, thus she has course form and has proven to be versatile winning on both soft and good ground. Her run last time out at Goodwood was solid enough, she was unlucky in running and stayed on well to finish seventh. She will be hoping for an easier passage through today with David Probert on-board who has taken her last three rides. There is a lot to like about this filly and trainer Andrew Balding will be expecting a big run. It is easy to see why there has been some decent money for her today.
Secondly, BYE BYE O BYE, who runs in the 17:15 at Tramore has shortened from 12/1, into 5/1 best price and as short as 4/1 in places. This veteran twelve-year-old horse has seen plenty of money come in for him today. He has had a fine season so far, landing two handicaps in July to go flying up the weights. He only seems to be getting better with age. He enjoys Tramore, having won here before as well as a very good second a few seasons ago. He drops back in trip slightly today, which punters hope will suit him.
The final mover of the day is MYTHIC, who runs in the 18:00 at Leopardstown, who was 7/4 earlier in the betting, is now a best price of 11/10 and is odds-on in places. She has only had one race in her career, and it was a very good third behind much more fancied stable mate Petite Mustique. It seems she bumped into a really smart type that day, and today’s task is deemed far easier. She looks a winner in waiting, with the progeny suggesting she should be a group horse in time. Donnacha O’Brien is firing in the winners at the moment and he takes the ride and the Aidan O’Brien yard are hoping this promising filly can shed her maiden tag today.
