91% of all bets over the last week have backed the five-year-old
British punters are continuing to pile in on Enable winning the Yorkshire Oaks this Thursday, despite being as short as 1/4.
The five-year-old has been the subject of a betting frenzy ever since the market opened, accruing 92% of all bets in the market over the last seven days.
That dominance in the market continues to show, with the John Gosden-trained superstar hoovering up 87% of all Oddschecker bets in the previous 24 hours.
That’s resulted in British bookies going heavily odds-on that Enable, under the mount of Frankie Dettori, wins at a best price of 3/10.
Elsewhere in the field, A.P O’Brien’s hope Magical is the closest challenger to the mercurial Enable, priced at 9/2 to add another Group 1 win to her resume.
Magical only trailed Crystal Ocean by a length and a half earlier in the season at Ascot, but has only pulled in 4% of all bets in the last 24 hours.
Behind Magical in the market is another Gosden runner in the shape of the Andrew Lloyd-Webber owned Lah Ti Dar, who has been pushed out to 14/1 to win the Yorkshire Oaks.
Rounding off the market is another O’Brien entry, with South Sea Pearl priced at a whopping 50/1 to pull off one of the biggest flat racing shocks of recent times.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Bookies will be hoping that Magical can pull a rabbit out the hat on Thursday, but punters are hanging their hopes on a spellbinding performance from Enable.
“For every 10 bets placed on the marquee event, nine have been placed on Enable, as money continues to come for one of racing's biggest superstars."
