Tuesday's Horse Racing Market Movers

We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.

First up is AUGUSTUS CAESAR who runs in the 14:55 at Lingfield. He has shortened from 2/1 into a best price of evens and as short as 5/6. This David O’Meara trained two-year-old has come forward in every run so far in his short career and the movement for him today suggests he is ready to win his first race. He is staying on the all-weather today after a very good second at Southwell in which he was unlucky not to win. He looks a progressive type and his form suggests he will have the better of his rivals today. A favourable draw only increases his chances of success and punters have been getting their money down all day on Adam Kirby’s ride.

Secondly, there is SEEANYTHINGYOULIKE who is running in the 16:20 at Warwick. He was as big as 7/1 earlier in the betting but is now a best price of 3/1 and as short as 5/2 in places. This eight-year-old had not been seen for almost two years before his reappearance over hurdles last month. A respectable effort after such a long absence meant he finished seventh. He will not have been at full fitness that day and he should come on a lot for that today. He is running off a career low mark today and before his lay-off, a mark like this would be silly for this type of horse. Punters believe he has blown off the cobwebs on his reappearance and is ready to get his nose in front this afternoon.

Finally, STORMBOMBER runs in the 17:05 at Lingfield. He was 4/1 overnight but has moved into a best price of 2/1 with some bookies going as short as 7/4. Close in all four of his last starts, Stormbomber has shown he has consistency, something many horses at this level sometimes struggle with. His mark still looks very fair and a step up in trip is very interesting. Trainer Ed Walker must believe it will create further improvement and could be partly the reason behind the move for this three-year-old. Champion jockey-elect Oisin Murphy takes the ride which is eye-catching in itself. Punters believe he has a lot in his favour today and it will interesting to see if he can repay their faith.
