Monday's Horse Racing Market Movers

Monday's Horse Racing Market Movers

We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.

The first market mover of the day is TALAP who runs in the 14:10 at Windsor. He was 4/1 earlier in the betting but has shortened into a best price of 5/2 and is as short as 9/4 with some bookies. Roger Varian’s two-year-old has shown some promise in his 7f maidens so far in his short career. His run last time out showed he was improving and should improve even further this afternoon. He is being stepped up in trip today in his handicapping debut which should suit him. David Egan takes the ride again today and punters will be hoping he can do the job on this promising type.

Next up is TREACYSENNISCORTHY who runs in the 15:05 Tipperary. He was 4/1 before moving into 5/2 and is as short as 7/4 in places. He shocked plenty of people at Listowel last month when winning at a massive price of 50/1 in just his second attempt at chasing. He has been switched back to hurdles today and punters believe he will make it two in two. The way he stayed on last time out suggests the step up to three miles today will help him. The good to yielding ground should further help his case and Davy Russell is certainly an eye-catching jockey booking.

The final mover is WEST CORK WILDWAY who is running in the 17:05 at Tipperary. He was 23/10 overnight but has moved into a best price of 4/5 with some places going 8/13. This exciting five-year-old placed a decent enough third in his first maiden hurdle last month. Having scored two victories in as many runs in point to points, he came back off a long break at Listowel for his third place finish. He will have learn a lot that day and should come on plenty for it. The ground should be kinder to him today and if building on that performance he looks very hard to stop.
