Tuesday's Horse Racing Market Movers

We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.

The first market mover of the day is BOUTAN who is running in the 14:50 at Chepstow. She was as big as 11/1 overnight but has been punted into a best price of 11/2 and as short as 9/2 with some bookmakers. She had a disappointing time this summer when going chasing for the first time but connections have decided to switch back to hurdling where she runs off her lowest ever mark. The trainer is in hot form at the moment, landing four winners out of her last fourteen runners. The money coming in for the six-year-old is really interesting given she has never won over hurdles. She will probably have few better chances than today however and with a firing stable they may just make light work of her mark today.

Next up, is GINA D’CLEANER who is running in the 17:15 at Southwell. This filly was 8/1 earlier in the betting but has shortened into a best price of 4/1 with some places going 10/3. She is three runs into her short career but seems to have got better in each start. Her last start was particularly eye-catching. She was two lengths clear two furlongs out but ran out of gas in the closing stages. She has been dropped down in trip today which should be ideal given her last run. The two-year-old is also on the all-weather for the first time which is a surface and that should suit her. She looks to have ideal conditions today to land the first victory of her career.

Lastly, HAMMER GUN is running in the 18:15 at Southwell. He was a big as 3/1 earlier in the piece but is now a best price of 9/4 and as short as 15/8 in some places. This six-year-old has had a fantastic season winning five times so far this year. He won last time out at Pontefract, beating Data Protection, who is a decent type. He has won over this course and distance twice too, the latest coming in March which was off the same mark as he runs off today. He has been a great servant to connections and clearly loves racing. It would be a lovely way to cap off a fantastic year if he can land the spoils this afternoon. Punters fancy him to do so too with plenty of money pouring in for him throughout the morning.
