We take a closer look at the horses moving in the markets across the UK and Ireland today.
The first market mover of the day is CRIMEWAVE who is running in the 18:10 at Kempton. As big as 17/2 in places, he has been punted into 9/2 with some bookmakers going as short as 7/2. This is an interesting move for the three-year-old who has been slightly underwhelming recently. However, he is dropping rapidly down the weights and punters think his mark today is very workable. His sole effort at Kempton last month showed signs of encouragement and punters fancy him to back that up today. Jack Mitchell is riding well at the moment and should be able to get the best out of him. It is a very interesting move for a horse that is yet to land a victory in his career, punters think tonight may just be the night though.
Secondly, CASA COMIGO is running in the 19:10 at Kempton. He has shortened from 4/1 into a general 5/2 shot. He has been in fantastic form as of late, winning his three last races. His latest effort was a fantastic win over this course and distance at the start of the month. He has been raised 5lb for that effort but punters still think he has enough in his locker to land the spoils once again. He has got the knack of winning and it will be a tough ask for his rivals to stop him. The money has been coming in all day for Kieren Fox’s ride.
Lastly, there has been a big move for GREAT SUSPENSE who runs in the 20:20 at Wolverhampton. The three-year-old was 7/1 earlier in the betting but has shortened into a best price of 10/3 with some bookies going 11/4. He has been slightly dissipating since his second at Windsor back in June. However, punters are keeping the faith. The form of that race has worked out very well. The first is now rated 72 and the third 74. Great suspense is running off 59 this evening. The form of that race suggests this could be a very well handicapped horse if at his best. The move for him implies plenty are expecting a big run and he has a great opportunity to land the spoils tonight.
