Bolshoi Ballet is the clear favourite for the Cazoo Derby following his extremely impressive victory at Leopardstown this afternoon.
Aidan O’Brien’s colt was an 11/2 chance for the Derby before today’s trial, but was slashed across the board as soon as he crossed the line.
He’s now as short as 7/4 for the Derby following an imperious display, putting his rivals to the sword in spectacular fashion.
A standout 9/4 is still available with one bookmaker.
Well backed before the off on Sunday, the three-year-old showed a stunning turn of foot when turning into the straight to effortlessly go a few lengths clear in the blink of an eye.
From then on, he only extended his lead under Ryan Moore on the run-in, with his rivals in a race between themselves to pick up the pieces.

It was a near perfect performance from Bolshoi Ballet, and his trainer was clearly very happy with what he saw. Aidan said, "The plan was to give him the two runs, then go on to Epsom… I’m delighted with him.”
The son of Galileo had been well backed during the week for the Derby, and it’s now easy to why.
He was near the front of the market with stablemate High Definition and Mohaafeth but is now the clear favourite, with the other two both available at a best price of 6/1.
