Tuesday's Cheltenham Market Movers

Tuesday's Cheltenham Market Movers

Each day oddschecker pick out the Market Movers for horse racing in the UK and Ireland, focusing this week on the Cheltenham Festival.

How does it work?

The oddschecker Market Movers page allows you to see the horses which have shortened or lengthened the most in the markets since they opened. Steamers are selections that have been well backed and shortened, while drifters have done the opposite.

Each day we look at the races in UK and Ireland to pick out the top three steamers, or selections with the biggest positive Average Market Swing* at the time of writing.

Our second market mover of the day is the Dan Skelton trained four-year-old TOO FRIENDLY.  Successful in two hurdle races at 2m on good to soft ground. Finished 8l behind Knight Salute when fourth of 7 at 5-1 on his latest outing in a Grade 2 hurdle race in the Group 2 Summit Juvenile Hurdle at Doncaster over 2m 1f (good to soft) in December last year. Has won at Newcastle and Stratford this season. In with a chance today but goes up against 23 other runners.

3. Appreciate It - 15:30 Champion Hurdle - 9/2 to 10/3 (4/1 Best Odds)

Our final market mover from Cheltenham is APPRECIATE IT who faces a tough task to defeat the heavy favourite Honeysuckle. He was the winner of four hurdle races, two NH flat races and a point-to-point from 2m to 3m on ground varying from soft to soft - heavy. Won on his latest outing in a Grade 1 hurdle race when 8-11fav over this course and distance (soft) in March last year, beating Ballyadam by 24l. If anyone could mount a challenge it will be this Irish horse trained by Willie Mullins.
